Mapme, Maps Collaborative

Using maps of the Internet is a resource increasingly used and who increasingly are drawn new utilities. And undoubtedly the king of the maps is Google, and through Mapme, any of us can create our own custom maps, indicating in each of them our points of interest, whether favorite places, areas Typical to visit or any other reason. But also as social resource, we can enable the collaboration of other users.


Four steps to get us far from our own maps:



Step 1: Specify the name of our map and we generate a single type url: www.mapme.com / maps / nombredenuestromapa



Step 2: Level Privacy
Map page: Any registered user can add items, comments, post photos and videos, and access the map
Community Map: We create our own community members and moderators, taking control at all times
Map staff: create your own map and we will invite only those who want to access.



Alike, we can temper all contributions made by users on our maps, establishing our own prior checking. We also have other options for additional privacy and personal maps community where we can, if we want, that users can contribute in our maps adding points and trails, post pictures and videos from YouTube, and also allow or not to leave your comments and use our maps on their websites.


Step 3: The third step allows us to offer a description of our maps and linking up to five categories, although we should compulsorily allocating one.



Step 4: define where and how viewing the map we're going to work.



Already we can only put it on our map in edit mode, go for adding points and paths, using some of the icons that have placed at our disposal. On each point show title, description, url, category (with an option to create new categories), and labels.


The maps can be added to favourites, rated, commented, and also export to KML data (Google Earth) and GPX (GPS devices).


And of course, we have a list of maps which can reclassify across a range of options, and further filter between privacy and types of categories.
